Live visual sets for Beshken, mixing 3D renders in real time so the imagery moves with the music as it plays.

01 / The brief

Live visual sets for Beshken, performed in real time. The imagery had to move with the music as it happened, not run as a pre-baked video next to it.

02 / The approach

I rendered a deep bank of 3D content in Cinema 4D and After Effects, then performed it live in Resolume, mixing and reacting to the set as it played. The visuals become an instrument I am playing alongside the music rather than a backdrop sitting behind it.

03 / The outcome

Visual sets that respond to the room and the track in the moment, so each performance is its own version rather than a repeat of the last one.
